I have a solid background in Applied Mechanics, built up since my undergraduate training program at Chongqing University. I obtained competitive PhD funding from Zhejiang University for research on elastodynamics and soft intelligent materials, where I acquired advanced experimental skills (measuring the nonlinear response of soft materials and wave transmission spectra). I was also awarded a competitive scholarship granted by the China Scholarship Council to work on the dynamics of multi-functional nanostructures at University of Siegen. There I learned to calculate wave band structures and transmission spectra with the commercial FE software ABAQUS.
In my previous postdoctoral research at Politecnico di Torino, I simulated the post-buckling and linearized vibrations of composites via customized refined FEM. In October 2019, I joined the Soft Matter group led by Prof. Michel Destrade at University of Galway to execute one-year IRC Postdoc research on "waves and vibrations in soft electro- and magneto-elastic matter".
From September 2020, I have started my two-year MSCA fellowship to carry out research on "Manipulating and tuning DYNamic characteristics of Soft Electro-Active Materials: Modelling, simulations and experiments (DYN-SEAM)". The DYN-SEAM Action is also conducted at University of Galway under the supervision of Prof. Michel Destrade.
